This session takes place in my Morristown, NJ studio and includes a gentle posing workflow for your baby, along with beautiful portraits of parents and siblings (if there's any).
Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first twelve days of life. During this precious window, babies are sleepier, more flexible, and naturally curl into those sweet womb-like poses.
This type of session is perfect for parents who prefer a calm, and controlled environment—where everything is ready and taken care of so they can simply relax and enjoy watching their little one be photographed.

After booking, you’ll get a quick questionnaire so I can learn your style and how you’re envisioning your session.
Once you send the questionnaire back, I'll get everything ready for your baby's session!

STEP 3: PREP FOR YOUR BIG DAY!
A few days before your session, you’ll receive a prep guide by email with everything you need to know—what to expect, what to bring, and a simple checklist to make your day stress-free.

STEP 4: PHOTO SHOOT DAY!
Your baby's session has arrived! Let's create those pictures you have dreamed of and been waiting for. I'll gently pose your little one and help you posing for the parent portion of pictures. We’ll move at your baby’s pace, taking as many breaks as needed.
Snacks and refreshments are provided.
STEP 5: ORDERING APPOINTMENT
This can happen right after finishing the session OR few days after your session took place you’ll be scheduled a video call with Francesca. In this step you'll choose your favorite portraits for me to retouch. You'll be able to fully customize your own package and buy only what you love!

She also has adorable outfits and props right on site so new parents have one less thing to worry about. She was very flexible and accommodating of my other son and husband - they popped in for 20 mins mid-session to get some family shots. Can't recommend her enough!

The best time to book your baby's newborn session is during your second trimester to ensure availability.
All I need to reserve your spot is your due date, and I’ll prepare everything for you. Once your little one arrives, we’ll schedule the exact session date based on both mama’s and baby’s well-being.

When should I book a newborn session?

Only the usual baby stuff such as a receiving blanket, milk bottle, diapers, wipes, pacifier, etc. If you have any heirlooms or anything you’d like incorporated into the session, you're welcome to bring them, but just me know before the session so I can add it to my planning.
I provide the outfits, bonnets, headbands, props and everything else we will need during the session for your baby.

Before your session, we’ll connect over a phone to chat through all the details about what to wear, so you feel completely prepared and confident.

Final galleries are delivered within 12 business days after you’ve selected your favorite portraits.
You’ll be able to make your selections right after your session, or we can schedule a video call to review them together—where I can offer my professional guidance to help you choose the best images for your artwork.

Yes! Professional retouching is an essential part of my process, ensuring your portraits are polished.
While my approach when editing skin is subtle (preserving your true beauty without ever appearing over-edited), I’m happy to take care of any editing requests to ensure you love your portraits—so don’t worry about little things like last-minute blemishes, I’ve got you covered!

Do the final pictures include retouching?

Simply fill out the inquiry form below, and I’ll be in touch within 48 hours. Once we’ve had a chance to connect and confirm your due date, a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer are required to secure your booking. From there, I’ll guide you every step of the way to ensure a seamless experience.
